Just Another Typical Week with Tha Native

One of Tha Native’s favorite pastimes, when not performing his unique style of American Indian Hip Hop, is doing karaoke at karaoke bars. Wednesday night Tha Native and friends went to downtown Upland to do just that, but first had to wait a moment while Tha Native finished some texting. Text, text, text. Blah, blah, blah. Maybe in a future blog we’ll post a video or two of Tha Native doing his thing on the mic karaoke style. Anyone interested in seeing that? Comment below.

Thursday night was meeting night at Tha Native’s place. Four of us got together to further discuss the future and how we’re going to meet the goals of Tha Native. The possibility of Tha Native joining a well-known hip hop artist on tour was also discussed. This tour would take Tha Native outside of California and into states like Florida, Utah, Colorado, and more. We’ll keep you updated on that. Just be sure to check back soon for those updates.

As for the very near future, Tha Native will be bringing back his Native American Hip Hop to Club Bleu in Westminster this coming Wednesday night. This will be his last scheduled show until more local dates are made or possibly until he goes on the road to hit those other states mentioned above. But that’s not a done deal so stay tuned. And, as mentioned before, please comment below if you have some ideas for places you would like to see Tha Native play. We’re thinking a Redlands, CA venue would be nice.

Friday afternoon Tha Native went out to Yucaipa to visit his friend Jimmy at Boom Botz Gentlemen's Parlor for a haircut and beard trim. Jimmy’s a master with the shears. He did Ryan’s cut right before Tha Native. You know Ryan (This author) from the soon to be famous Milkshake Dare video where Tha Native dared Ryan to drink a very special milkshake. I never did vomit that milkshake up, but I certainly thought that would have been the best move. And yes, I do hate myself even though I took home a crispy new C note. I probably should have asked for $200.

But, before that infamous dare at a Riverside Denny’s, Tha Native performed at Jasper’s Bar and Grill in Santa Ana. Unfortunately, the aspiring and wishful young promoter of the show didn’t deliver in the way we would have hoped and assumed, but we still managed to have a good time on the way over. And, of course, we all had a lot of laughs at 3:30 in the morning at my expense. What will next week bring? More dares? Stay tuned and find out.
